I have managed to make it through the winter without Thermals but still I'm starting to feel the cold, i mean the need, for them the last couple of weeks.
What should i be looking at?

Damien, you won't beat the babygro from Lomo. The all-in-one with the two way zip. It's very cosy and only £25.

just make sure that the material closest to your skin is not cotton r cotton blend as this will soak up the moisture[sweat], retain it and if the conditions are such that you have a swim you will feel colder as a result. Ideally as a first layer you want a 'wicking' material ie. POLYAMIDE r other synthetic and then a fleece Confucus he say "Always remember that its easier to retain heat than to regain lost heat "

Well I had a rash vest for the winter with a tshirt over it and it just about held out. Went to i-canoe and picked up a medium weight top which I tested on sunday. I was roasting. I'll be using it on the colder mornings. Thanks for the advice all.
